ELA B30: Hamlet: Handed back Readings Logs. Handed in Character Webs - I looked at them during class and handed them back and we discussed missing parts (especially Polonius' relationship to King Hamlet and Claudius as well as the character of Fortinbras and Fortinbras Jr.). Finished preparing and presented group analysis of Shakespeare's writing style - well done! This is exactly the process of analysis that is needed for your Independent Novel Study & Critique...speaking of which, the rest of the period was spent working on that. Please remember that for Wednesday, you need to have at least one paragraph ready to show me with 2-3 questions for me that we will discuss in a one-on-one conference (use the sheet that I gave you). On Tuesday we start Act IV of Hamlet.

ELA 9: Worked on poems - rough draft, peer feedback, typing final draft. I also gave out a sheet on literary devices to help you include those in your poem. A few people finished and handed in their poems - those who did not finish will get 15 minutes of class time on Tuesday.

ELA A10: Finished sharing the last discussion topic for The Chrysalids from yesterday. Worked on rough copies of your "The Feeling of Power" film review - those who did not finish in class need to hand it in on Tuesday so that I can get it back to you to type on Wednesday. I also finished the one-on-one check-ins for The Chrysalids with everyone who was here. Remember: Chapter 11 for Tuesday.

CE 8: 1.1 Application - discussed Activity 8 and the questions on the Holy Spirit information pages. Finished the Action section (writing the prayer) and handed in the booklet. Started Section 1.2 "Am I Strong Enough?" Worked on the Experience section and started the Information section. We'll continue next class.
