On Friday, we will discuss and you will hand in all sections of 6.1. Then we are moving on to Health and starting a unit on Body Image and Self-Esteem, so bring your Health stuff.

CE 10: Discussed our Advent Project - I will talk to the sisters about visiting during a CE period. Finished correcting the Bible Searches booklet together. Created the assignment and assessment criteria for the Biblical Figure Research Assignment (which will be a poster). You'll start researching next class. Also, I am planning on having you do a small research assignment on one of the people in the Bible searches booklet after you finish it, so think about who you might be interested in learning more about.

Health 8: Discussed "Canadian History and Legislation on the Family" research. Also discussed the articles on Family Discrimination. This brings us to the end of the unit - on Tuesday we will do a review Jeopardy together and your test will be on Thursday.

ELA B30: Did Page 2 of the Word Choice Booklet (Interesting Adjectives). Read and discussed the poem "The Cry of the Children", and then did a timed writing activity to write a letter to the government based on the letter (it was handed in at the end of class). Make sure that Part 1 of A Thousand Splendid Suns is done for tomorrow.

Health 8: Handed back Family Roles and Responsibilities. Worked in the computer lab on Canadian History and Legislation on the Family. We will continue in the lab next class.
ELA B30: Handed in Literacy Portfolios and a few people presented their Hamlet Verbal-Visual Essays. Those who did not hand in/present have the next couple of days to do so in order to get the marks in for Progress Reports. Tomorrow we will begin our second unit.
ELA 9: Discussed familiar Bible stories and watched the video of "The Storytelling Stone". We will start working on creation stories tomorrow.
